Excited to meet you and to be a part of the Bridgeway community this year! My name is Mollie Baumann. I have a great passion for helping students build their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to meet the learners' and future workers' needs of the 21st century. I will be instating a new educational approach called Choice-Based Art Education or Teaching for Artistic Behavior. Through these authentic learning experiences, students will engage with the learning in personal and practical ways. Their creativity will thrive in an environment where they are supported and encouraged to experiment and play while learning and producing work
. I come to you with three years of teaching experience at McCluer High School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. I have a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UMSL and undergraduate degrees in Art Education and Painting from Ball State University in Indiana. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time on the soccer field, walking my dog, and creating DIY projects with found old furniture. |
